Student Scholarship Information

Applications are accepted and considered once per calendar year in the Spring Semester for both Fall and Spring Semester awards. Scholarships will be awarded one time disbursement. To be considered, applications need to be complete and submitted by February 23, 2008.

To be considered for a scholarship through Michigan Hotel, Motel & Resort Association students must be:

• A student of a hospitality student at Central Michigan University, Ferris State University, Michigan State University, Northwood University and Grand Valley State University and currently a full time student.
  
  
• All applicants must submit a current resume, documenting hospitality industry work experience.
  
  
• Must obtain one standard recommendation from a faculty member in the hospitality program at your school.
  
  
• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  
  
• Must complete the attached application in its entirety. E-mail attachments (recommendation letters, resumes, and thank you letters) will not be accepted. Submit paper copies of all documents.
  
  
• Must be able to attend the award dinner presentation, April 15, 2008, 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Amway Grand Plaza, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
  
  
• Scholarships will be disbursed by May 1, 2008 directly to your school/program.
